Abound in mercy
Jesus’ invitation to ‘Follow Me’ is an invitation into His mercy. We must decide whether to trust Him and step forward in faith, or remain in the comfort and security of our old lives. God desires mercy rather than mere religious duty. It is possible to practice outward faith while lacking true compassion within. The need to merciful often challenges the way we usually do things.
